Senior Instrumentation Technologist / SPI (INtools) Project Manager

Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of Instrumentation & Control engineering work in the initial planning and design phases of projects.
• May also support procurement and construction phases or projects with I&C engineering knowledge and experience.
• Establish scope, schedules and cost controls consistent with their discipline and compatible with client objectives
• Manages mid-sized technical projects and serve as the technical manager on projects.
• Work activities include collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of detailed engineering.
• Support clients database activities (SmartPlant Instrumentation (INtools))
• Responsible for tasks/deliverables including instrument specifications, installation details, location drawings, block diagrams and preparation of construction work packages.

Qualifications:

• Technologist with relevant experience (2 to 5 years)
• Proven experience-maintaining instrumentation
• SmartPlant Instrumentation (INtools) experience
• Instrument construction experience
• Knowledge of instrumentation Software packages/programs to track calibrations of equipment
• Ability to utilize various commercial maintenance and productivity software packages related to instrument measurement
• Knowledge and experience of PLC Systems
• Previous role in a leadership position would be an asset
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Ability to work in both a flexible and team environment
• Strong maintenance foundation including a sound technical knowledge of instrumentation
• Strong problem solving skills
